Cur8ability by Rainna Goel began in the summer of 2020, during the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Looking at the struggles being faced by the disabled (the minority group of India and the world), I founded this brand with a goal to eradicate clothing difficulties by introducing independent dressing through specialised clothing (adaptive clothing).

​

I helped the migrant workers fleeing back to their villages by employing them as my tailors.

Cur8ability is a non profit organisation: all profits earned by sale of garments are then put to use to create more garments for donation to hospital trusts. 

​

Through velcro, magnetic closures and zips, normal clothes are made adaptive and are hence used to make dressing easier. Cur8ability is the first brand in the world to design and manufacture an 'Adaptive Women's Saree' . The project report and appendix are available with my research.

I began this project as my personal project in the MYP however I decided to continue it. This was the only project was covered by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) on their social media, a great achievement for me. Cur8ability has been covered by 'The Better India', a famed media portal alongside Brifly News and Fusion Werindia, other portals. Moreover, it was listed as one of the recommended adaptive clothing brands in India. Writing for Winning Stree, I explained the need for adaptive clothing, listen to my podcast for the same.

In an interview with The Teenpreneur Show produced by Amp 2tv Productions , Cur8ability was highlighted as one of the first adaptive clothing brands in the country.

I carried out several donations, one of them being a donation of 30 adaptive t-shirts to Thunga Hospital, Mumbai.
